Safe Routes to School

The Keene Middle School's Wellness Committee is pleased to announce it is joining other schools in our district in working with the Southwest Region Planning Commission to implement the national program "Safe Routes to School".  The overarching goal is to encourage more students to walk or ride their bikes/scooters/skateboards to school. The benefits of walking and bicycling to school can play a role in improving health and community life. Over the next month, you may notice SWRPC employees observing the traffic flow around KMS with the intention of identifying areas of concern for students who could ride bikes or walk to school.  A parent questionnaire is posted below.  We would love to have your input.  Please consider completing the survey and returning it to Keene Middle School.
